Pastor Doug Walker is a student of the bible and his study journey is ongoing.  He has a humble and reverent manner to teach us the bible and to help us understand the nuances of scripture. Above all, Mountainside adheres to scriptural accuracy.

Word and Table

"Mountainside observes the ordinance of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month.  Our church observes an "open table" in that everyone is welcome to receive the Holy Eucharist.  It is an intimate time to encounter Jesus at His table, remembering His sacrifice for our sins."

Upside Down

"Upside Down”

A lot of things can get twisted in our world.  Meanings of words can change over time to eventually end up entirely something different.

Make the Call

“Make the Call”

One of the greatest inventions in American history is the
telephone. The few words uttered by Alexander Graham Bell on
March 7, 1876, started a new way to communicate.

The Path Least Taken

The poem by Robert Frost titled The Road Not Taken opens like this: “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both, and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth.”  We make many decisions in life, looking down the paths before us as far as we can.
